Welcome to the Commissioner of the Revenue's department. Listed below are the services this office offers the citizens of Amherst County.
 
The Commissioner of the Revenue is a locally elected Constitutional Officer responsible for administering all local taxes. The Commissioner is also the Chief FOIA officer for the office.  It is the duty and an honor for the Commissioner of the Revenue to serve the citizens of Amherst County. The Commissioner of the Revenue's office provides forms regarding: 

The Commissioner of the Revenue is responsible for accurately assessing all tangible personal property (personal and business) and maintaining real estate ownership records. The Commissioner oversees tax relief programs for seniors and permanently disabled citizens, 100% service-connected disabled veterans, surviving spouses of 100% serviced-connected veterans and surviving spouses of those killed in action and land use.
Please note: The Treasurer's office is responsible for collecting taxes. Any questions about payments due or paid or due dates, please contact the Treasurer's office at 434-946-9318.
