Amherst County, Virginia

Adam Stanley was born and raised in Amherst County.  He graduated from the University of Lynchburg in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Computer Science.  He would go on to receive his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law in 2010.  After graduation, Adam would start his career at the Lynchburg Public Defender’s Office.  During his time there, he handled all types of cases ranging from Felony Sexual Assaults to Misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence.  As the Senior Trial Attorney, he specialized in Digital Forensics and Crimes.  He attended the 2018 National Forensic College in New York City and studied the science behind various types of forensic evidence like DNA, fingerprints, and trace evidence.  Adam is excited to bring his experiences and expertise back to the County that he called home for so many years.
