David was first elected to the Board Of Supervisors in November 2011. David is or has served for the following:
- Central Virginia Community Services Board
- Amherst County Planning Commission
David is a native of Amherst County having graduated from Amherst County Public Schools. He received a football scholarship to Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development. In 2002 he was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts and played under Coach Tony Dungy until a knee injury ended his career.
In his spare time David enjoys spending time with his wife JoAn and their children Nicholas and Nataleigh. He is also involved in farming and enjoys the outdoors.
