HOW TO PREPARE

WHAT TO PLACE IN BIN

GLASS

Remove all metal- lids, caps, neck rings.  Labels can remain on containers.  Rinse and drain thoroughly.  Separate by color.

Soda Bottles, Beer Bottles, Juice Containers, Ketchup Bottles, Wine & Liquor Bottles, Food Containers

Mirrors, Automobile Windshields, Light Bulbs, Clay Flower Pots, Laboratory Glass, Crystal, Ceramic Cups, Plates and Ceramic Bottle Tops, Window Glass, Heat Resistant Ovenware, Opaque/Milk Glass, Drinking Glasses.

ALUMINUM

Rinse and drain thoroughly.  Crush.

Soda Cans, Aluminum Foil, Aluminum Pie Pans, Steel Food Cans

Aerosol Cans that contained Pesticides or Paint.

PLASTIC

Remove- lids, caps, neck rings.  Rinse and drain thoroughly.  Crush.

Plastic #1- Soda Bottles (ONLY)

Plastic #2- Milk Jugs (ONLY)

Plastic Shopping Bags or Other Plastic Material

MIXED PAPER

Place in properly labeled bin.

 Flatten all boxes.

Junk Mail, Office Paper, Magazines, Phone Books, Unwaxed Paperboard, Cereal Boxes, Brown Paper Bags

Waxed Paperboard, Tissue Paper, Napkins, Cardboard Boxes

NEWSPAPER

Place in proper bin. DO NOT tie  strings around newspaper or place in a brown paper bag.

Flatten all boxes.
