Bev Wiley, Victim Witness Advocate 1990 - 2021

The Commonwealth Attorney's Office would like to congratulate Beverly Wiley the Director of our Victim Witness Program on her retirement.  "Bev," as we know her, was the founder of the Victim Advocate program in Amherst County.  She started our program, one of the first rural programs in the Commonwealth, back in February 1990.  Bev started under Commonwealth Attorney (CA) Ed Meeks and then worked with CA Stark Mundy, CA Stephanie Maddox, and CA W. Lyle Carver.  Bev dedicated over thirty years of her life to serving our County's victims and witnesses.  During her long tenure she worked with multiple generations of families.  She was an asset to the CA's office and to Amherst County as a whole.  We wish her the very best in retirement and will miss her.  She leaves big shoes to fill but her legacy is a strong and growing Victim Advocate's program that has expanded to two Victim Advocates to serve our community.
