Responsibilities
The Office of Finance has many responsibilities including:
- Issues all payroll checks to persons employed by the County, Amherst County Service Authority, and the Amherst County Public School System.
- Perform an internal audit of invoices submitted by various departments for payment.
- Management support to the County Administrator and the Board of Supervisors.
- Oversee the County's approved and adopted budget.
Have a question regarding W-2s or 1099s? Call Finance; it's our responsibility to issue W-2s and 1099s for the County, Amherst County Service Authority, and Amherst County Public Schools.
