Accounting

The Office of Central Accounting has many responsibilities, and serves as a hodge podge in the information department. We are responsible for all payroll checks issued to all persons employed by the County , Amherst County Service Authority, and the Amherst County Public School; we are responsible for all vendor payments for the County, School System, and Service Authority. We are involved in the budgetary process; we oversee the County's approved and adopted Budget; we perform internal audit of invoices submitted by the various department for payment. We serve as a partial 'HR' department in answering questions concerning withholding and/or benefits offered by the County.

Have a question regarding W-2's or 1099's - call Accounting; it's our responsibility to issue W-2's, and 1099's, for the County, Amherst County Service Authority, and Amherst County Public Schools.
