The Development Review Committee is one of the first steps in the development review process. The Committee reviews site plans and subdivision plats and meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Planning and Zoning Department Conference room at the Amherst County Administration Building.
Members of the Committee are comprised of representatives from the Planning & Zoning Department, Health Department, Virginia Department of Transportation, Amherst County Service Authority, Verizon, Building Department, Public Safety, Sheriff's Office, American Electric Power, and other interested departments or agencies.
