Amherst County, Virginia

The Amherst County American Civil War 150th Anniversary Committee was formed to give Amherst County representation to the VA Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission.  The purpose of this committee is to approve any activities pertaining to, and provide valuable historical/cultural research resources about Amherst County to the state commission, as well as local interests, as Virginia positions itself as the premier destination for the Sesquicentennial activities.  This committee will stay active through 2015.
